Auto Crowd Dealer Inventory Feeds – Import your Vehicles to Auto Crowd
Auto Crowd Dealer Feeds are a fast and efficient way for car dealers to post their new and used car inventory to Auto Crowd on a daily basis. This service is available to dealers with an Auto Crowd dealer membership.
Create your CSV File
Auto Crowd uses CSV files as the method of importing your new and used car inventory. To get started you will first have to create a csv file based on our requirements. While you could create your CSV file manually via Microsoft Excel, we recommend having your DMS company poll your inventory and create the file for you. We have listed the feed requirements below.
The first row in your CSV file must match the Column Names below. You may want to download an example dealer file to help get you started. Once you have created your inventory file you need to save it as inventory.csv.

Send us your CSV File
In order for us to import your vehicles, you will have to upload your csv inventory file to your FTP folder, which is located on our server. When you signed up for an Auto Crowd Dealer account you should have received information in regards to your FTP account. If you no longer have your FTP Account information please contact us and we will be happy to assist you. Once you start sending your inventory.csv file to your ftp folder, we will begin to import your vehicle inventory daily.

At what time do you import our vehicle inventory?
We import and reconcile your inventory a little after 12 midnight.
Can I still update my inventory via the Auto Crowd Ads Manager?
Yes, you can still update your inventory via Ads Manager, but we do not recommend it. When we perform our nightly imports we look at the information in your CSV file as the most accurate information we have about your inventory.
Let’s say you login to Auto Crowd at 2pm and update the price and upload a picture for a particular vehicle. Those changes to the vehicle are visible on the website instantly. However, when the nightly import occurs, any information we find in your CSV file for that stock number will overwrite anything you did earlier in the day.
What if I don’t have an image url, how do I import pictures?
In your FTP folder we have created an "images" folder for you to upload your images to. You can upload your photos to your images folder and use the url that is created from having your photos in the folder. It would look something like this:

Do you automatically remove ads from Auto Crowd that are no longer in my CSV file?
Yes, when we poll your inventory.csv file we reconcile that information with what is found or not found in the Auto Crowd database.

What if I just signed up with Auto Crowd and don't want daily imports. Will you import my inventory once to help us get started?
Yes, we realize for some dealers it’s easier for them to maintain inventory manually via the Auto Crowd Ads Manager once their initial inventory has been uploaded to our website. If you would like for us to do a onetime import please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.
