Last day of production for the PT Cruiser

Today was the last day that Chrysler rolled PT Cruisers off their production line. We could write quite a few paragraphs about the PT Cruiser, but thought our time could be spent doing other things. Maybe something like going to the fridge to get a home brew. Besides, a thunderstorm has just blown in and it’s probably not a good idea to be on the computer.
But for you die-hard PT Cruiser fans, Jalopnik goes into a little more detail about the demise of this once promising product from Chrysler.
Ok. I can’t close this blog post without mentioning PT Cruiser Drivers. Have you ever noticed……….

Ford and Chrysler recalling 55,800 vehicles

Ford and Chrysler are voluntarily recalling some of their vehicles because of safety concerns.
Chrysler will recall 22,118 vehicles. The models effected are the 2010 Dodge Nitro, Dodge Ram, Jeep Liberty, and Jeep Wrangler. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration brake tubes could potentially fail, thus resulting in loss of brake fluid, which is never a good thing.
Ford is recalling 33,728 2010 Transit Connect vans so they can replace pushpins that hold up the headliner. Apparently the pushpins did not meet federal requirements for head protection. We are not sure what they mean by pushpins not meeting requirements for head protection.
Ford and Chrysler will notify you if your vehicle is effected.
